American Eventing Championships
We had 10 of us that made the trek to Tyler, Texas for the AEC this year. I felt like we were all holding our horses together with a needle and a thread the week before but all the horses pulled through and gave it their all. We had many with personal best dressage scores which is always a great feeling when you are at the championships. It was bittersweet for Mallory Stiver whose horse sadly was  diagnosed with a degenerative joint disease and was set to retire him from  jumping after the show. They delivered their best dressage score together and ended up in 6th out of a very competitive junior novice division. I will miss the big Moose but I know I'll see him around at some of the dressage shows kicking everyone's butt. Out of the 10 of us, 7 finished in the top 12 which  just sums up all the hard work everyone has put in this year. Congrats to all and I can't wait for next year!

Richland Horse Trials
Aires made his Advanced debut and stepped up to the plate and showed that he can keep up with the big dogs. He tackled the cross country with confidence and boldness which was nice to feel at this level. He jumped a superb show jumping round clearing the fences with ease and posted one of only two clear rounds in the division. Finishing 3rd behind two veteran four star horses was the highlight of my year. I can't wait until we get to tackle another Advanced!

Rebecca Farm's Horse Trials
Julie and Aires traveled to Kalispell, Montana to compete in the prodigious CCI**.Julie and Aires finished in 3rd place out of 19 competitors with a score of 53.5!

Roebke's Run Horse Trials
It was the first time for everyone to go to Roebke's Run Horse Trial in Minnesota and we were not let down. The facility was amazing and it was so neat to have such a nice venue in Area IV. We will be back next year! It was a show of ups and downs but everyone got the experience they needed and wanted and everyone came home happy at the end. It was Azul's first recognized event and even though we had a baby moment on XC I was still pleased with his performance and am excited to see this horse progress in the future. Aires was spot on perfect the entire event and brought home the blue which was a great confidence booster leading up to the CCI** at Rebecca Farms in 2 weeks.
